•   Comprehensive Eye Examinations

Comprehensive eye examinations are important every one to two years in order to maintain clear vision and to evaluate for any eye health diseases.  We determine what glasses prescription you need, we examine your eye teaming ability, and we examine for any possible eye disease that you may have.  We work with you to determine what types of glasses will help you with your daily activities, such as computer use, outdoor activities, driving, and more.

We perform eye examinations for all ages, from pediatric to geriatric exams.

  •   Contact Lens Examinations

A contact lens evaluation is an additional examination to determine which contact lens will work best for you.  Properly fitting contact lenses are essential for maintaining good eye health and good comfort.  In addition, there are now newer technologies that are available for both eye health and comfort.  We fit the most breathable contact lenses to keep your eyes healthy, and we fit the latest technologies of multifocal and astigmatism contact lenses to match your needs.

  •   Red Eye Examinations

We are available to diagnose and treat any sudden changes to your eye health, including eye infections and foreign bodies.

  •   Diabetic Eye Examinations

Diabetes can cause damage to the eyes by damaging the small blood vessels in the retina.  Everyone with the diagnosis of diabetes needs their eye health checked on a yearly basis, or more frequently if any diabetic eye health changes are discovered.  Every comprehensive eye examination done at our office includes a check for any changes in the eyes due to diabetes.

  •   Glaucoma Examinations

Glaucoma is a disease of the optic nerve in the back of the eye.  Glaucoma is typically an asymptomatic disease in its early stages.  It usually starts by damaging your peripheral vision, but it can lead to blindness if it goes untreated.  Every comprehensive eye examination done at our office includes a screening for glaucoma, including an eye pressure check and an optic nerve evaluation.  These tests are necessary to determine if you are a suspect for glaucoma.

  •   Cataract Examinations

Cataracts are typically a normal change that happens to the crystalline lens inside the eye over time.  Cataracts can cause blurry vision and glare as they progress.  Every comprehensive eye examination done at our office evaluates your eyes for possible cataract development.

  •   Macular Degeneration Exams

Macular degeneration is an age related condition that causes damage to the center of your retina, the macula.  It can cause blurry vision, distortion, and possibly blind spots in your central vision.  Every comprehensive eye examination done at our office evaluates your eyes for possible signs of macular degeneration.

  •   Fundus Photography

We offer the ability to take a photograph of the back of your eyes in order to have permanent documentation of your eye health.  This can allow us to better monitor for eye conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and any other conditions that might occur.

  •   Visual Field

We offer the ability to perform threshold visual fields, which are necessary to rule out possible neurologic conditions that can decrease peripheral vision.
